Finally I wrote this tutorial, I'm very happy with the results, please e-mail me
if you see any error or want to comment or have any doubts. I would really appreciate the feedback!
Here we go! :)

First you will need the photo of the model I chose for this tut that you can find here

This tutorial was made with PI 10, there may be a few changes for other PI versions. All done with the brushes and retouch tools were done with a pen tablet (wacom). It could be done with the mouse but it may not be that easy.

This tutorial is for an advanced level, however there are many screen shots and detailed explanations which would make it very easy to follow.....at least I hope so! LOL

Lets begin!!!

Now you can open the photo in PI........Ready??......ok!!!

With the pic open go to the path drawing tool / elipse / 2D (gray) and draw an elipse more less the size of the head. Now, we are going to edit this path, click on the edit path object on the attribute bar.

I have found out that the easiest way to move these nodes without making a mess with the handles staying behind is to click on the this way you can move the handles as shown in the image above to specific points, once you have placed them you can change to and move the handles to ajust the to the pic.

Add nods more less where I placed them

....and move the handles to adjust.
Your image should look like the one below :)

Go to the layer manager and hide the face in order to see the rest clearly.

Same thing here, always drawing the 2D grey elipse and then edit.....just follow the pic and adjust the handles, here we will only do the neck, never mind if you go past the head or over the shoulder because this part will be sent back.

Lets continue with the shoulder

The coat, 3 separate pieces.

Here is the hand, you will need to add quite a few nodes here. Check out the image below.

Let all your shapes show in the layer manager and see how they look togeather.

Mine below has some holes in it, so I'll adjust them by editing the shapes.

If you're working on a small piece zoom in a lot! Let's do the white part of the eye, I suggest you use the color on screen and choose the lightes part of the eye. Remember, always start with the 2D elipse.

Other eye, same thing

Yours should look like these.

Lets go for the mouth, pick the color on the screen in this point.

First upper lip then zoom in more for the lower lip.

There she is!!! She's READY!!! Congratulations, you may pick up your award......

NAH! Just kidding!!!!

......So, we have all our shapes, lets move on to the brushes, dodges, blurs and burns!!! :)
